Fr. John J. Vizza, JCL, MS (Psych)

Fr. John Vizza is a Ukrainian Greek Catholic Priest serving in the Eparchy of Edmonton (Canada). He is a canon lawyer with additional graduate degrees in both theology and psychology. He is a member of the Canon Law Society of America, the Canadian Canon Law Society, the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland as well as the Canon Law Society of of Australia and New Zealand.

He has served in Tribunals over a number of years and has assisted Archdioceses, Dioceses, Eparchies, Priests, Religious and Laity in a variety of canonical services. He has been involved as a canon lawyer in various canonical processes, in different capacities and at various levels such as First and Second Instance Courts.

Fr. Vizza has also served as a Court Expert in marriage nullity cases. He is active as a member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association and has served as a Regional Rep for the International Region of the CPA, Chair of the Education Committee, Vice-Chair of the Ethics Committee and Member of the Bylaws Committee.

He regularly teaches post-secondary courses in psychology and canon law.

He serves as Judicial Vicar of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton and as Adjunct Judicial Vicar of the Interdiocesan Tribunal of Edmonton at the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton.

Fr. Vizza routinely serves as an advocate in marriage nullity cases throughout Canada, the USA and beyond.
